Gaoth Dobhair is one of the largest Gaeltacht areas in the country. It is situated by the sea in North-West Donegal, 30 miles from Letterkenny.
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, the local secondary school, is used by Cumann an Phiarsaigh as the centre for its varied programme. Facilities at the Pobalscoil include a full-sized playing pitch, basketball courts, a tennis court and an art room.
